We returned home Sunday with great regret. The trip was wonderful. From start to finish it could not have been better. The B&B's, the routes, your suggested things to see, everything was just fantastic. We met the nicest people, saw magnificent sights and throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Sorry for the delayed response but the dust took quite a while to settle! We had an amazing experience in Scotland and were very pleased with your services. It was the perfect mixture of planned and optional activities. All accommodations were unique and gave us a wide variety of what Scotland has to offer. The maps and information you provided were helpful and easy to follow, which made our holiday more relaxing. All of the hosts at the lodgings were very welcoming. Thank you so much for the itinerary that you set up for us and the arrangements you made on our behalf. We found that there was way more to do and see than we could accomplish. What did happen is that we saw many varied environments of Scotland. This gave us a deep appreciation and love of Scotland. It is my hope that some day soon we could come again and see a certain region more in detail. My wife was thrilled with the personal 2 hour tour of the castle at Braemar and the parade of clans up the Royal mile to Edinburgh castle.
We would definitely recommend Clans and Castles to anyone coming to Scotland. Thanks again for all of your help.

We have had a great trip and enjoyed very much Scotland.
Both hotels were great choices. The Edinburgh one very well situated while the Inverness one was a great hotel for the kids. The rented coach was very convenient with an great driver while the one day guide was excellent. We will make sure that any friends of us planning to visit Scotland get in touch with you beforehand.

It was a wonderful trip. All six of us enjoyed it thoroughly. Scotland is beautiful beyond what I imagined. Your service was excellent. The places we stayed were unique and charming.
Thank you for all you did for us. Tim and I went on to Slovenia which is also beautiful, but the people could not compare with the Scots. I think the friendliness of the people we met in Scotland, blew me away.

We just completed an extraordinary 10-day family vacation in Scotland based on a customized itinerary developed with the expert services of Scottish Clans & Castles. The trip was a mix of city and country with a terrific blend of classic and modern hotels, as well as two top-notch B&B’s, namely Brough House (Elgin) and Ethie Castle (Arbroath). The arrangements were flawless, the accommodations perfect and it appeared to us that they were able to secure the rooms with the best views, every single time.
To us, this was an unexpected benefit of dealing with a local expert and a reflection of the intimate knowledge of their recommendations. Dealing with Alastair and his team in planning this memorable trip was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to returning, hopefully sooner than later. Alastair, the trip you arranged for us was the best vacation my family has ever taken. I had not been back to Scotland in 30 years and quite frankly missed a lot of it. My family had never been and I wanted to show them what I dreamed about all the time. The B&B’s that you arranged for us along our motor trip were unbelievable, the hosts were extremely gracious and accommodating. We actually visited 19 different castles on our trip and my wife and 10 year old never tired of a single one, as you are aware we spent a couple of days in Edinburgh, visiting all the sites and taking the ghost tours etc, which my daughter still talks about 4 months later! The beauty of the whole trip for all of us was how inexpensive the entire trip was for us to spend two entire weeks in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We will return and we will use your services once again! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Alastair, just a short note to let you know that we have had a fantastic holiday in Scotland. I was a little worried when I booked the holiday for three plus weeks that it might be a tad too long. As it turns our there are places we wanted to see but just didn't have time. The girls say we will just have to come back again : )
Thanks for all that you did to make this trip the best one yet. I know I said you outdid yourself after last trip but you have managed to top that trip. Again, thanks for a fantastic vacation!!!!!!

Greetings from the Isle of Mull! You were right, it is absolutely beautiful here! The bluebells are in bloom and had wonderful weather today as we traveled to the Isle of Iona to see the Abbey. I did want to thank you again for an absolutely fantastic tour of Scotland!

We had such a wonderful time on the tour you put together for us. Every accommodation that you booked worked perfectly! We were left feeling that there is much more of Scotland to explore. I guess this means we'll be back at some point.
We have to specially commend Bunchrew House near Inverness for their spectacular service. They were simply perfection in service from start to finish. The staff could not have been more gracious or accommodating. The food was lovely, and they miraculously produced pasta with butter for our seven-year-old at every dinner - even when pasta was nowhere on the menu. The people who run this hotel know a thing or two about service and it really shows in how every staff interacts with guests. The sunsets are also stunning in this location.
I will remember Scotland as a land of great hospitality. From the staff at each hotel, to the personnel at the car hire, to the ferry personnel between Skye and Mallaig, everywhere we went we encountered gracious, hospitable folk.
I can't thank you enough. Between my husband (as a pilot), and myself (who worked in aviation for decade and travels very frequently), we've worked with more than a fair amount of travel specialists, and you are definitely at the top of our recommendation list.
